classic "cassette culture" noise-collage from jeff surak circa 1985, still revered today for works on his zeromoon imprint and continued live efforts in dc and abroad. the audio here varies wildly between early tg-style industrial compositions, minimal synth / loop work a la deaf lions or croiners, and a brief, bizarrely ahead-of-its-time excursion into techno on the a-side which pre-dates bloody fist by ten or so years. before you get too excited, jeff wanted me to make clear that he's not really fond of this tape. i think the word juvenile was thrown around once or twice. but still, he's a courteous guy and granted his blessing for the reissue. to me it's one of those anything-goes tapes from the era that i admire so much. and if this one isn't your bag, maybe check out crystal night or six girls in search of a heaven
