NO BORDERS II: “After a couple of years of hearing and meeting dedicated, passionate and creative individuals making noise music at OSB and other venues in Richmond, it occurred to me that there was a correlation between the global network of artists/friends featured on the NO BORDERS album and this network of local artists here in the City of Richmond. I felt welcomed into this community, inspired by the community’s diversity and camaraderie, and impressed by the original ways people expressed themselves.
In the eighties, one had to move to a big city to connect with an alternative community like this, now I was encouraged to realize that there are communities like this all over the world. With all of this in mind, I thought a compilation album of Richmond noise artists would be a perfect sequel to NO BORDERS.
